Be Ever Vigilant

We have been made aware of a new phone scam, both land-line and cell, that is attacking people purporting an issue with a debit card. The origination of these calls is unknown at this time.  Also the automated call is random in the sense that it assumes the person has a debit card, but does not know this as fact.  Some members have received automated phone messages stating that “All Debit Cards have been DEACTIVATED” or something similar. The members are instructed to respond to the alert in order to reactivate their cards. THIS IS A SCAM. If you receive this automated phone message, please ignore it. Please be assured that your card has not been deactivated. 

And for that matter anyone who has email.  Scammers are targeting anyone and everyone who is willing to divulge personal information to them.  The crooks are very good and very convincing, but do not fall for it.  At no time will FOCUS Credit Union send an email or make a phone asking you to verify information that we already have.
